Geo-Spatial Spectral Signature Information System (GS3IS)
The increasing recognition and importance of reflectance spectral signatures across various applications have led to a surge in the volume and complexity of spectral signature and related metadata. Effective spectral signature collection, management, storage and publishing are crucial prerequisites for any spectral data quality verifcation, analysis and validation, irresspetive to the utility.
The Geo-Spatial Spectral Signature Information System (GS3IS) addresses these challenges as a primarily open-source web service designed for the collection, management, and publishing of spectral information. GS3IS distinguishes itself through its enhanced modularity, efficiency, portability, versatility, scalability, and security.
