Geo-Spatial Spectral Signature Information System (GS3IS)

The increasing recognition and importance of reflectance spectral signatures across various remote sensing applications have led to a surge in the volume and complexity of spectral signature data. Effective signature collection and storage are crucial prerequisites for any spectral data analysis, whether proximal, aerial, or satellite-based.

The Geo-Spatial Spectral Signature Information System (GS3IS) addresses these challenges as a primarily open-source web service designed for the collection, management, and publishing of spectral information. GS3IS distinguishes itself through its enhanced modularity, efficiency, portability, versatility, scalability, and security.
